Joseph's 1st Day of Kindergarten

It's finally here! The day I dreaded all summer finally came.
Neal and I did everything we could think of to get him ready...
including a Family Home Evening lesson on stranger danger
that scared Joseph half to death. My biggest concerns are not
that he will be safe in school, but wondering if we prepared him
enough to be out in the big world. I've always heard that what
you teach your kids before the age of 5 is what will stick with them.
I really hope we taught Joseph well....there's no turning back now!

So far Joseph loves school. After asking him about what
he likes the most, he enthusiastically replied "RECESS"! I
was surprised when he was saying his morning prayer yesterday
and he asked that he could be nice during story time instead
of mean. I asked him what happened at story time and he said,
"oh nothing Mom..it's no big deal." Sigh...he is growing up
way too fast!!

what a big boy! He's so cute. How's Olivia handling not having him around all of the time?

Olivia is really sad that Joseph leaves each day...but I am trying to find ways to keep her busy!

He is so grown up, especially telling you it is no big deal!

Yea for Kindergarten! Tyler loves school and enjoys his teacher and class. By the end of his first week he was getting pretty tired but hopefully his body will adjust to waking up early and being at school all day.

I hope Joseph is still liking school. I must say his classroom is huge compared to Tyler's. Tyler's school has 10 Kindergarten classes and the rooms are small because of the lack of space. Joseph's classroom is probably double the size of Tyler's.

Samantha cried the first day when I took Tyler to school but since then Joel takes him and she really doesn't mind too much. I plan to keep her busy with the library, playgroup, preschool, and more. My life has gotten pretty busy. I had to makes myself a schedule to keep the days, times, and activities straight.

Sorry, what a long comment. I was just trying to answer you questions.

Miss you guys!
