On Tuesday's I watch an adorable little baby named Chloe. My kids love her and I love her. I was feeding her and both kids wanted to help. As all three of us were feeding Chloe I asked Joseph if he was excited to have another baby come to our family. He said an enthusiastic yes! and asked if I was pregnant. Sadly, I told him no, but we should pray that we get another baby to come to our home. Joseph said,"Mom, I'm going go pray right now," and he marched upstairs.
A few minutes passed, Joseph came back down. He said, "Well Mom, you are going to have the baby later." "Later?" I asked, feeling sad. "Yep, later. But the good news is....it's a boy!" I smiled at him as he continued..."but yeah, it's gonna take a long time for the baby to come." I felt my heart sink. We have been trying for a year and a half already and I'm starting to feel like we'll never have more kids. I asked Joseph if he heard Heavenly Father's voice tell him those things. He said he just felt those answers in his heart.
Sometimes I forget that the Lord has a plan for us...for me. I am sure there are reasons why we haven't been able to have another baby yet. This experience is a testimony to me that I need to continue learning, growing and remember to follow the Lord. It will happen in the Lord's time.

Awwww...this is so sweet! I hope I can teach my children to be as close to the Lord as Joseph. And a "long time" to a child is different that to us...maybe a "long time" is only 10 more months! I will pray for you as well. :)

Good luck Shannon. It's so hard to wait, but the Lord does have a plan for our families and for why they turn out the way they do. I've had to gain my own testimony of that in the past couple of years. Joseph is so sweet.
That is the sweetest story about Joseph. I wish you the best- I know how hard it can be- as I have watched many people struggle with this. Hang in there. Just think you have 2 absolutely adorable little ones- a girl and boy. I might end up only having boys (since #3 is a boy too :))

I just want to say I think you're an amazing mom! You always seem to know exactly the right way to act in every situation with your kids. You just have 2 little ones so far, but I think of you as a pro. :) That little boy will be coming into an expert family!
