Deb & Lafonda

We adopted 2 adorable little kitty's a week ago and as you can see the kids are loving them...a little too much. Notice how Olivia has her hand around Lafonda's neck? That is a daily occurrence and I don't know how either of them are going to survive. Olivia has kicked them, thrown them and choked them all within a few minutes of each other. The little black kitten, Deb, has really been picked on because Lafonda is 1 month older and very territorial. We were hoping they would be good friends, but so far it has literally been a cat fight all day. So, while I love the kittens, there is a lot of work involved and I am not enjoying that. While it has helped distract me from my current emotions, I feel like a grouch because I'm yelling at the kids all day to leave the poor kittens alone!

For those of you that love Napoleon Dynamite, you might appreciate the names we choose for the little kittens. I had no idea what to name them so Neal came up with the idea. You should have seen the girls at the vet laugh! So over all, while they have put me to work, they have filled the void for me and given quite a few people a good laugh!

I don't know if you are brave or completely crazy :) They are cute kittens and I love the names. I made the mistake of looking at your blog with Tyler looking over my shoulder and now he is begging for a cat. I'm not much of a cat person so my answer to him is "no way". Happy litter box cleaning!

P.S. Happy Anniversary!

WELCOME TO THE NEIGHBORHOOD, DEB AND LAFONDA!!!!
The pictures are soooo cute! Thanks for sharing! I feel your "pain" - with new puppies, I told James, "It's just like having 2 more kids!" When they are done wrestling and getting into things, I turn around and have to tell my own two the same thing. :)
I don't remember our pets being so hard, when I was a kid. Ha! I guess because I just got to enjoy them. My mom would probably think otherwise. Wouldn't change it for the world though. The smiles they bring are priceless.
See you Thursday!

So cute; we just got 3 ourselves and I feel your frustration (we have Isa (4), H (2), and EJ (1)), and our kittens get their share of abuse, but mostly they've learned to be really fast and relax when a kid is carrying you. BTW, I stumbled upon a system to potty train your cats. I totally want to do it. I'll let you know if it works for us. It's only 29$ It's @ www.citykitty.com
Love you guys! Hugs to you all.
