Olivia is in a funny stage right now. She loves to make messes and can destroy the house in minutes. A week and a half ago I was still struggling with pneumonia, but I was feeling a little better so I decided to re-organize and fold Olivia's clothes. It was the first thing I had accomplished in weeks and it felt great to get it done.
The next morning Olivia was playing with a friend. They went up to her room for a while and played. I am always curious to know what they are doing up there, so I turned on the monitor. It sounded harmless enough. But then I went up a little later and her room was a disaster! She had dumped out every drawer in her room, every last piece of clothing that I had carefully folded was in a huge pile on the floor. I don't like to spank, but this is one time I felt it was appropriate.
Olivia and I cried together. And then, while I was hugging her while she was crying she said "Mom, you know what would make me feel better?" I looked at her and said "No, what would make you feel better?" She said "A WEDGIE!" So our upset moment turned into a hysterical moment. I proceeded to give her several wedgie's and we laughed and laughed until we both felt all better.
(Oh, and her new favorite thing to say is "no biggie." I have no idea where she picked that up...but it's kinda cute!)

That is so cute! I love the moments when you are upset and it turns into a wonderful moment! I admire you! ;)
That is so stinkin funny! So glad when those moments turn to happiness!
Where did she pick up "wedgie", that is hilarious! It's nice that kids can make you giggle, especially after they've been lil' pills. Good luck taming the destruction!
